TA Bridge Club Intermediate Tournament

On Saturday 16th August the Te Awamutu leg of the Waikato Bays Intermediate League was held. There were 15 tables present playing two 26 board sessions. Pairs from Auckland and across the Waikato Bays area attended including one player from Hawera. The days play resulted in an outright win for Megan Jolley and Leanne Curry from Hamilton Club Second were Sabrina Peters and Nita Knight from Thames and third Graham Saunders and John Little from Waikato Club. Local success for Anne Williamson and Lyn Brennan who were first in the afternoon session for E/W. Pauline Van Groenedaal and Jocelyn Bailey took the Sanders Racing Salver for best performed TA pair overall coming in a creditable 5th place
