For all levels, newer players welcome. This session is particularly aimed at players unable to play daytime sessions but all members are welcome.

Please be seated at 6:50 pm for 7:00 pm start.

Session aims to finish around 9:30 pm or earlier.

The session on the first Monday of each month will be formal with a director and electronic scoring (At least 3 tables required). C points will be awarded at half the usual rate due to the reduced number of boards being played.

Other weeks may be an informal session with no Director and manual scoring. Attendees may need to organize themselves and no C points will be available.

Discussion of hands played may be held at conclusion of play. Finishing time will be at the discretion of those present.

 

Tuesday 10:50 Open Te Awamutu Bridge Club

Session usually finishes around 2:30 PM

Most 3 or 4 Tuesday sets are played as an Individual competition which means you should play with a different partner each week to qualify to win any series. For the Pairs events you need to play with the same partner for all 3 weeks (a substitute for 1 session may be allowed) to win the 3 week event.

 

Wednesday 18:50 Open Te Awamutu Bridge Club

For all levels, often includes some of our newer players. More senior players are encouraged to assist and partner new players and keep to more basic systems when facing novices.

Please be seated at 6:50 pm for 7:00 pm start.

Session usually finishes around 10:00 PM.

The Club Junior Championships will be held over 4 Wednesdays in June. All members may play in the competition but only pairs of two junior or novice ranked players will qualify for the title.

A further 'Restricted' Pairs and 'Restricted' Individual series are scheduled to coincide with the end of lessons for July and September. All pairs for these two events are to include at least one novice or junior.

A teams event will be played in October subject to enough interest. This requires a group of 4 players to form a team, who will play each of the other teams over the series. To make for reasonable competition teams should not include more than 1 Open, and at least 1 Junior or Novice ranked player. The match committee may reassign players if any team appears to be unfairly strong or weak.

The Club Intermediate and Open Championships will be held over 3 Fridays in Aprol/May, the Marj Thomas Pairs C and a further 3 Fridays in June, the Hobbs Memorial Salver Pairs E. All members may play and win the Open competition but only pairs Not including an Open player will qualify for the Intermediate title. All members are encouraged to play whatever their prospects or rank.
